When you hear the word “virgin,” what is the first thing that comes to mind?
For me, it’s a word with a strong emotional resonance, and something that once gone is never returned. However, in our society (especially among women), losing it before marriage is considered a sin or a disappointment. Why? No one knows the explanation, but everyone wants to make use of this taboo.
It’s your virginity, after all, and no one has the authority to condemn you or take it away unless you want it taken away.
As a result, sex education is critical in everyone’s life. We notice in our society that if a woman loses her virginity before marriage, it is tabooed as a sin or as though the woman is no longer pure. If we’re talking about a man, is he a stud and the woman a slut?
And if a woman goes out with her friends and enjoys her life the way she wants, partying in an apartment, society labels her as careless and a bitch, and she is labelled as a characterless woman; however, if a man does the same, it is his age to do so; let him enjoy himself; he is a man, and he can do whatever he wants.
Are you serious? Is it the correct course of action? It is not acceptable to evaluate a woman based on her virginity! And not allowing her to do what she most desires. Its high time now, and yeah we are also humans not a robot that whatever boundaries one’s wants to make on us that they can. No you can’t you are not the boss of us we are our own boss.
We can’t question someone’s dignity if they desire to lose their virginity before or after marriage. I’m not saying that everyone thinks like that; far from it, but there are still many people in our society who believe in this way of thinking, which needs to change. Every individual has the ability and right to make their own decisions.
I’m not just talking about one taboo here, but several, such as:
•Oh, look, she’s flaunting her cleavage like a diva! Seriously, now we’re going to criticise someone based on their clothing choices?
•Men do not cry, oh man. You’re not a child, so get over it. Are males robots, for example? They don’t have emotions, do they?
•Cooking is something you like. It’s a woman’s job, not a man’s. A man’s job is to make money, while a woman’s job is to sit at home and do housework. BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE, WE SHOULD CHANGE OUR MINDS!
•You are not allowed to attend school; your responsibility is to remain at home and marry as soon as possible, you are 18. Seriously, what is wrong with people these days? It’s 2021, so please stop stereotyping genders.
There are a lot of taboo’s like that which needs to end.
Its our choice and our life!
If you are 27 and a virgin I RESPECT YOU!
If you are 18 and pregnant I RESPECT YOU!
Sex is normal, losing virginity is normal practically if you see its just a normal need.
So there’s no need to make it a big issue
Talk freely about it be blunt be bold. Cause you have that in you and you know that the society knows it that one day every person is going to have sex and lose their virginity.
So YES LOSING VIRGINITY DOESN’T MEAN THAT YOU ARE LOSING YOUR DIGNITY TOO.
